  • Majani 1796 was founded in Bologna in 1796 by Teresina Majani, the ancestor of the oldest family of Italian chocolatiers. For 227 years and seven generations, Majani 1796 has been producing chocolate creations using the best raw materials, still following the old recipes and traditional methods of processing.
  • The company’s products are made from a selection of the best varieties of cocoa beans from different territories, cultivated in 20 different areas of origin. Their unique aromas form the complex and harmonious bouquet of Majani chocolate. After drying in the sun, the beans, in jute bags, arrive at the Majani plant where they are processed.
  • Some of its most famed products include Cioccolata Scorza, created om 1832 and named after its similarity to a tree bark, and the Cremino Fiat, with its four layers and hazelnuts and almonds.
  • In 2000, chocolate Tortellino was added to Majani’s specialties, establishing the company’s link with the territory.
