The land of Huehuetenango, in the north-west of Guatemala, on the border with Mexico, is at an altitude ranging from 850 to 3700 meters and offers an extraordinary variety of ecosystems (from subtropical rainforest to pine forests). Located at the foot of the Cuchumatanes, the highest nonvolcanic mountain range in Central America, Huehuetenango is one of the best areas of the country for the growing of coffee. The characteristics of the coffees are a full-body and a good acidity, balanced and aromatic, with notes of flowers, citrus and chocolate.
